Education

The Santa Anita Chapter, NSDAR, supports NSDAR's schools by collecting boxtops for the Boxtop program.

Constitution Week and American History Month

Santa Anita Chapter, NSDAR, prepares an educational display each fall at the children’s wing of the local public library for Constitution Week, September 17-23. The chapter does another exhibit each February to commemorate some event or theme for American History Month.

Conservation

The chapter has supported replanting programs in Eaton Canyon following wildfires. At nearly every meeting, we discuss simple measures we can take to conserve our natural resources. 

Veterans and Patriotic Endeavors

Chapter members send holiday cards, notes of appreciation, and Girl Scout cookies to active-duty military personnel.

DAR Project Patriot

We support the mission of the DAR Project Patriot Committee. Since 2005, DAR has partnered with the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and its Wounded Warrior Project.  

The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration

The chapter is in partnership with The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.  The chapter participated in the Arcadia Vietnam War Monument Fundraiser and Vietnam Veteran Commemoration on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Our Chapter also donated a bench placed in front of the Vietnam War Monument in Arcadia Park.
